Okay, okay... we are in Mildura, just arrived, a few hours ago. As I have ruptured a disk in my back (yes, I have done it again...and what fun it is to have done it while I am travelling!! Good times!) I didn't do much in the setting up of the tent, but I helped with setting up the kitchen and the lounge area of the tent.
We have internet here, we have paid for it. While we very much do NOT like like spending money on paying for internet, it is better than sitting in the carpark of MacDonalds using their free wifi (too cold! It's Winter!!).
We have spent the last few days in Yackandandah, at my daughters financees parents house (Thank you Mark and Margaret for your wonderful hospitality). They have the most wonderful home, so warm and welcoming and both Kristy and I luved being there. Interesting fact - Mel Gibson and his family once lived in Yack.
We were in Yack to be there for Elle's first birthday. Oh she is one little gorgeous girl and I am proud to call her my granddaughter. Kristy luvs being 'step-grandma Baeffey'. Little Elle got lots of presents, and hugs and kisses. She has an extended family that totally adores her (for good reason, as she is totally adorable). I think, though, her jaw must be aching, because she (Elle) did not stop eating for the whole of Friday night. She is really taking after 'step-grandma Baeffey' in the way she loves her food!
Kristy and I stopped off and saw my friend Jake in Castlemaine on the Thursday night - hiya Jake! I know you are reading this, and if you aren't, then you are in BIG trouble - smacks for you, although I know you would enjoy this, so it is not much of a punishment!
Also, my friend Jodi came up to Echuca to visit K and I. She drove over 4 hours to come and see us! What a gal! Thanks J, it was good to see you (although I think I was a bit hung over the next morning, and into the afternoon).
I found a recipe for homemade after-dinner mints - OMG YUMMMMMMOOOOO! And so easy!
We are up to Day 18 in the 100 day challenge. I had to stop for a few days due to back injury, but I did my 18 pushups today. Thought I would wait for tomorrow to do the situps (thinking of the back recovery).
Kristy is sick - it appears to be tonsillitis (wrong spelling but you know what I mean), yet she has already had her tonsils out! My mother informs me that they can grow back. Let's see if it gets worse. I am sure a good nights sleep in a cold van at sub zero temperatures will make it all better.
PS No further wildlife has been killed thus far.
